PAUSE + RESET | Te Ao Kōhatu Edition

$600.00

13–14 September 2025 Waitaia Lodge,

Ōmanawa

Limited to 15 spaces

$600 investment

Join us in the ngahere of Ōmanawa as we return to the world of stone, sound, and story.

This is a weekend of deep reconnection – a space where we walk the storylines of our tūpuna and enter the realm of Te Ao Kōhatu, the ancient world of stone and its living wisdom. Guided by whānau Te Kaha, holders of the whakapapa and tikanga of pounamu, we’ll be supported to remember and reclaim the sacred relationship between taonga and wairua.

Step into the creative legacy of our tūpuna and uniquely explore taonga tuku iho through pounamu carving. Connect the practice of Ukutangi to the echoes of our whenua, and deepen your understanding of the whakapapa of traditional poi, weaving the mauri of our past to enrich our future.

Together, we’ll honour Papatūānuku, Rongo, and Hineputehue, exploring the vibration of stone and sound, the movement of poi, and the sacred processes of shaping and plaiting. Through tikanga, hoanga, and the resonance of natural materials, we’ll awaken memory, mauri, and our place within the living world.

We begin at 9am on Saturday, 13 September, and close Sunday afternoon. Accommodation is marae-style, and all rongoā kai will be lovingly prepared for you.

Come immerse yourself in a weekend of rongoā, whakapapa, and creation held on ancestral whenua at Waitaia Lodge.

Whakapā mai to reserve your place.
